AP: Candidates Selected for Free IAS Coaching Through BC Study Circle

Screening test held at seven centres; coaching begins on December 14

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has selected 100 aspirants for free Civil Services coaching through the BC Study Circle, minister for BC, EBC Welfare, Handlooms and Textiles S. Savita announced on Wednesday.

She said 723 candidates appeared for the screening test conducted on December 7 at seven district headquarters for the 2025–26 academic year. Certificate verification will be held on December 12 at the BC Study Circle in Gollapudi, and coaching will commence on December 14 in collaboration with Hyderabad-based Law-Excellence IAS Institute.

The Minister said selection was based on merit and reservation norms — 66% BCs, 20% SCs, 14% STs, and 33% for women.

Savita noted that 83 candidates received free Civil Services coaching during 2024–25, while 6,500 BC students took Mega DSC coaching through BC Study Circles, resulting in 250 BC candidates being selected as teachers. She also expressed happiness over BC Study Circles receiving the SKOCH Award.

Stating that the government was upgrading facilities in BC hostels and gurukul schools, she said `141 crore had been sanctioned for repairs and reconstruction, along with RO water plants, inverters and CCTV cameras. A total of 843 toilets are under construction.
