AP BJP Leaders Call on Amit Shah in Delhi
State unit briefs Home Minister on governance initiatives and infrastructure needs
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders, including party president P.V.N. Madhav, union minister Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma and AP minister Satya Kumar Yadav, called on the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Party sources during the prolonged discussions on several issues related to AP, state leaders explained to Amit Shah how welfare schemes and good governance policies initiated by former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee and continued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being implemented in AP.
They explained how BJP leaders are informing people of AP about the initiatives of the central government for the people of the state and the good response they are receiving from the people, including about the Atal-Modi Good Governance tour in the state.
Later, the AP BJP leaders called on the national working president, Nitin Nabin and congratulated him on being selected for the post.
The state BJP leaders also met union ministers H.D. Kumara Swamy, Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan and K. Ram Mohan Naidu and discussed with them several pending projects related to AP.
They submitted a representation to Nitin Gadkari for upgrading several state highways into national highways.
