The MEO told that the students attempted to kill their room mate as the school had declared holiday when one of the students died, two years ago. Both the students were given TCs and the entire episode was reported to the higher officials. — Representational Image

Two students attempted to kill their friend, as the school would declare a holiday if one of their schoolmates is dead.

Two students of Class VIII at Gyarampalle Gurukul in Kambhamvaripalle in Annamaiah district, living in the hostel, tried to strangulated and asphyxiate their room mate by pressing the pillow on his face, a week ago.

However, their room mate escaped but the faculty kept the incident a secret.

But, MEO Reddy Basha gained knowledge of the incident and visited the school on Wednesday, to enquire about the incident. He called for the students' parents and other family members and spoke to them.

The MEO told that the students attempted to kill their room mate as the school had declared a holiday when one of the students died, two years ago. Both the students were given TCs and the entire episode was reported to the higher officials.
