Anitha Launches Digital Fire NOC Portal
The new portal enables citizens to apply online for three types of NOCs - Provisional, Occupancy and Renewal - with certificates generated automatically according to established regulations.
Visakhapatnam: Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha launched the online portal for fire safety clearances, eliminating the need for citizens to visit government offices for No Objection Certificates (NOCs) in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
The new portal enables citizens to apply online for three types of NOCs - Provisional, Occupancy and Renewal - with certificates generated automatically according to established regulations.
The portal introduces a tiered inspection system based on building height and complexity. At district fire officer level where buildings up to Ground + 2 floors or 10 metres height, at regional fire officer level up to 4th and 5th floor or 10-15 metres height and at director general level up to buildings above 5 floors or exceeding 15 meters height
Field inspections will be conducted using tablets with real-time photo uploads and reporting capabilities, enhancing transparency and accountability throughout the NOC process.
Citizens can access the new portal at www.fireservices.ap.gov.in. The department has established direct communication channels for feedback, grievances, and complaints through the Director General's helpline at 9441236448 (call/WhatsApp) or email at connectdgfire@gmail.com.
