Andhra Pradesh: Pranadhaan Trust Provides Prosthetic Hands To 150 Accident Victims

VIJAYAWADA: Around 150 people, who lost their hands in accidents, received advanced prosthetic hands free of cost at a fitting camp organised by Pranadhaan Trust at Radha Sundara Kalyana Mandapam in Narasaraopet.
Palnadu collector Dr Krithika Shukla, who inaugurated the camp, said the prosthetic hands provided by Pranadhaan Trust in association with the Inali Foundation would help beneficiaries regain independence and confidence.
She said accidents often caused permanent disabilities and urged people to exercise caution while working in factories and travelling on roads.
“The provision of these prosthetic hands is a commendable humanitarian initiative. Such support can make a significant difference to people who have lost their limbs and help them regain their independence and self-esteem,” she said.
Pranadhaan Trust president Ravipati Srinivasa Kiran said the organisation would continue its social service and community welfare programmes. He said the devices would help beneficiaries perform routine activities such as writing, eating and riding two-wheelers.
Several Trust members, Rotary representatives and Inali Foundation officials attended the programme.
