Andhra Pradesh: GO Issued For Restructuring Of Local Cadre
The allocation would be done in phases for 26 districts, 6 zones and 2 multi zones. The government has directed that basing on the requirement of services and administration, posts would allocated to the districts. A department-wise Posts Allocation Ratio would be prepared and compared with the posts available in mandals to take a call on the final number of posts
The Andhra Pradesh government has accelerated restructuring of local cadre. As part of it, guidelines were released for the allocation of posts to local cadre. On Monday, GO Ms No. 46 was issued to this effect. The GO has clearly mentioned about how the cadre strength would be decided, according to the President's orders issued in 2025. Special guidelines were issued for the working strength.
The allocation would be done in phases for 26 districts, 6 zones and 2 multi zones. The government has directed that basing on the requirement of services and administration, posts would allocated to the districts. A department-wise Posts Allocation Ratio would be prepared and compared with the posts available in mandals to take a call on the final number of posts.
The government has directed all departments to submit their proposals online. The number of posts would be finalized with the consent of the revenue department. The guidelines are not applicable for State Secretariat, HOD officials, All India Services officers, judiciary posts, PSU posts.
The government has temporarily permitted allocation of posts to Markapuram and Polavaram. At the same time, the government imposed prohibition on creation of new posts till the allocation of posts to local cadres is completed. A temporary restriction has been imposed on promotions, transfers, new appointments and deputations.
