VISAKHAPATNAM: Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha said all eligible families in Payakaraopeta constituency would soon get house pattas and steps would be taken to ensure drinking water supply to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The minister directed officials to accelerate pending works and give priority to basic infrastructure.
Welcoming the supply of Godavari water to Anakapalli district through the Polavaram Left Canal, Anitha said possibilities of developing areas along the canal in Payakaraopeta as tourist destinations would be explored.
She also urged people to install rooftop solar power systems, stating that the government was extending subsidies and other incentives.
On public safety, she directed police to conduct awareness programmes on traffic rules and enforce helmet regulations. Steps would also be taken to install CCTV cameras in villages.
