Anakapalli Accident: Triple Riding on a Bike Proves Fatal for Youth

The trio had gone to attend the Ammavari Jathara at Purushothapuram and were on their way back home when the accident occured.

Anakapalli: Triple riding on a bike proved fatal for three persons in a road accident reported in the district in Andhra Pradesh, on Thursday night. According to reports, a private travel bus collided with a bike carrying three youths near Pothireddypalem junction in Yelamanchili Mandal. Two of them died on the spot, while the third succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital.

The deceased were identified as Bangaru Nani (24) from Purushothapuram village, Illaku Govindu (25) from Etikoppaka, and Bangaru Durgaprasad (16) from Pothireddypalem. While Nani and Govindu worked as painters, Durgaprasad was a student. The trio had gone to attend the Ammavari Jathara at Purushothapuram around 10:00 PM. On their way back, while dropping Durgaprasad at Pothireddypalem, their bike was hit by a Vijayawada-bound bus near the junction.
The families of the deceased were informed, and the bodies have been shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem. Yelamanchili Circle Inspector (CI) Dhanunjaya Rao has registered a case and initiated an investigation.
