Amazon Launches Quick-Delivery Service In Vizag

VISAKHAPATNAM: E-commerce major Amazon has launched its quick-commerce service, Amazon Now, in Visakhapatnam, offering groceries, daily essentials and other products through quick deliveries.
According to the company, customers can access thousands of products, including fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, personal care, fashion, beauty, home and kitchen essentials and small appliances.
Popular purchases in Visakhapatnam include fruits and vegetables, whole-wheat bread, cooking oil, ghee, nuts, seeds and premium chocolates. The company has also recorded growing demand for dry fruits, jaggery, sugar-free sweeteners and multigrain bread.
Srikant Sree Ram, director of Everyday Essentials at Amazon India, said the service had received an encouraging response from customers since its launch. He said the rollout was part of Amazon’s expansion of its quick-delivery operations across the country.
Amazon Now is currently available in more than 65 cities and towns, with further expansion planned ahead of the festive season. A network of micro-fulfilment and urban fulfilment centres supports deliveries.
The company has also announced special offers through Amazon Now during the Amazon Great Indian Festival, beginning October 8. Customers can check availability through the Amazon shopping app.
