Amaravati Land Development to Be Fast-Tracked; Farmers’ Loan Waiver Announced
AP Minister Narayana says international airport and sports complex to be completed in three years; loans up to ₹1.5 lakh to be waived for capital region farmers.
Amaravati: Minister Narayana on Wednesday said that the land acquired for the construction of the state capital will be developed at an accelerated pace. He stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to complete key infrastructure projects, including an international airport and a sports complex, within the next three years.
The minister was speaking at Vadlamanu village in Tulluru mandal, where the second phase of the land pooling process for the capital region was formally launched.
Narayana also said that local MLA Shravan Kumar had requested loan waiver relief for farmers in the capital region. He added that he had spoken to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who agreed to the proposal.
Announcing the decision, the minister said that crop loans taken by eligible farmers up to January 6 will be waived, with the benefit applicable to loans up to ₹1.5 lakh.
