All Set for Police Constables’ Training; Nine-Month Course Begins Monday

They underlined the need to provide a safe, disciplined and motivating environment for the trainees.

 Anantapur: Preparations have been completed for the nine-month training programme for the recently selected Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (SCTPC), which is scheduled to commence from Monday across Andhra Pradesh. Police Training Schools in several district headquarters will impart training to the selected candidates at designated centres.

Anantapur Range DIG Dr Shemushi and district superintendent of police P. Jagadeesh visited the Anantapur district Police Training College on Sunday to review the readiness of facilities for the trainees. During the visit, SP Jagadeesh conducted a detailed inspection of the campus, including basic infrastructure, barracks, kitchen, gymnasium, classrooms, parade ground and other facilities.

The officials also inspected the parade practice ground, running track and drill areas aimed at improving the physical fitness of the trainees. They advised that these facilities be further strengthened to ensure more effective and comprehensive training. Instructions were also issued to pay special attention to additional amenities, infrastructure improvement and maintenance of cleanliness at the training centre.

The DIG and SP emphasised that police training is not limited to physical conditioning alone but also focuses on developing mental strength, discipline and moral responsibility. They underlined the need to provide a safe, disciplined and motivating environment for the trainees.

AR additional SP Iliyas Basha, DSPs Suryanarayana Reddy and Neelakantheswara Reddy, and reserve inspectors Pawan Kumar and others were present during the inspection.
