Vijayawada:In a move aimed at strengthening skill development and accelerating technology adoption among micro, small and medium enterprises, MSME minister Kondapalli Srinivas on Friday held an interactive meeting with the leadership of Nettur Technical Training Foundation.
The discussions focused on exploring a long-term collaboration to enhance the state’s technical training ecosystem and support industry-oriented skill development. The minister examined the possibility of integrating NTTF’s specialised training expertise with MSME Technology Centres to improve productivity, innovation and competitiveness across sectors.
A highlight of the meeting was the proposal to establish an aeronautical engineering and Aerospace Training Centre in AP, a move expected to significantly boost advanced manufacturing capabilities and create a new pool of highly skilled professionals in emerging aerospace domains.
Deliberations also centred on modernising Industrial Training Institutes by introducing cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT) and advanced electronics, enabling youth to acquire future-ready skills aligned with evolving industry requirements.
Srinivas said these initiatives align with the state government’s vision of building a robust skilled workforce, promoting high-value manufacturing and strengthening the MSME ecosystem. NTTF representatives, managing director Ravi Tennety and head of training Shankar Ganigi, expressed a keen interest in expanding the organisation’s technical training footprint in the state.
