Adani Krishnapatnam Port Provides Four Sanitation Vehicles To Muthukuru And Krishnapatnam

NELLORE: In a significant boost to rural sanitation, the Adani Foundation, under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL), provided sanitation vehicles to Muthukuru and Krishnapatnam gram panchayats on Tuesday.
Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy launched a Sanitation Management Awareness Campaign in the presence of AKPL chief executive officer Jagdish Patel, local representatives, government officials and villagers.
The campaign aims to promote behavioural change through sanitation training and the distribution of sanitation bins to residents of the two gram panchayats.
As part of the initiative, the MLA handed over four vehicles—one Sanitation Management Campaign Van (SMCV) and one Garbage Collection Van (GCV) each—to the Muthukuru and Krishnapatnam gram panchayats.
Speaking on the occasion, Somireddy appreciated Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited and the Adani Foundation for supporting the State’s sanitation drive through a public–private–people partnership (P4) model. He said the initiative would help ensure daily garbage collection and encourage villagers to keep their homes and surroundings clean.
AKPL CEO Jagdish Patel said the Adani Foundation remained committed to community development and improved sanitation in villages surrounding Krishnapatnam Port. He added that the Foundation would continue to create awareness on hygiene and collective responsibility for maintaining clean villages.
MPDO Nagmani, Muthukuru mandal EO Hemant, local leaders Eduru Ram Mohan Reddy, Mallikarjuna Yadav, Yedukondalu, Yellaiah, Ravi Koduru and other villagers were present at the programme.
