ACB Conducts Raids on Judicial Employees’ Homes over Corruption Charges
A case was registered under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Vijayawada: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Friday carried out simultaneous searches at the residences of three judicial department employees and two private persons at five locations across Guntur, NTR and Krishna districts in connection with corruption allegations.
According to ACB officials, the raids were conducted based on a report forwarded by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. A case was registered under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The judicial employees named in the case are G. Vijaya Lakshmi, G. Prasanth Chowdary and Y. Venkata Siva. Inquiries are also being conducted against two private persons — Kolli Sridhar Reddy and Garikaparthi Ravi Sankar.
Officials said incriminating material was found and seized during the searches. Further investigation is under way.
