ABVP Seeks White Paper on AP DSC-2025 Recruitment Allegations
Some aspirants have reportedly approached courts and have also submitted complaints to the National SC and ST commissions, alleging violations of reservation norms.
Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded that the state government release a white paper on allegations of irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process, particularly in appointments made under the sports quota.
The student organisation said concerns have been raised by several candidates over the past 10 days regarding alleged injustice in the appointments of teachers. It urged Education minister Nara Lokesh and senior officials to jointly explain the recruitment process and clarify allegations that meritorious candidates have been denied fair opportunities.
ABVP state secretary Yaganti Venkata Gopi said the coalition government’s decision to fill around 16,000 teacher posts after nearly nine years had generated hope among unemployed youth. However, he said there is lack of transparency in filling 382 of the 423 posts earmarked under the sports quota.
Some aspirants have reportedly approached courts and have also submitted complaints to the National SC and ST commissions, alleging violations of reservation norms.
ABVP demanded an independent judicial inquiry, preferably by a single-judge commission, to ascertain the facts and remove doubts among candidates. It said accountability should be fixed if any wrongdoing is established, while those making false allegations for political purposes should face strict action.
