AP CM Reviews Investment Proposals Worth Rs 11.47 Lakh Crore Cleared By SIPB
The CM said 282 projects worth Rs 11.47 lakh crore have been approved through the SIPB so far.
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on Thursday on investments and the progress of industrial projects. Along with a committee of ministers, the Chief Minister reviewed the implementation of agreements signed during the Visakhapatnam Partnership Summit and projects cleared by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).
The CM said 282 projects worth Rs 11.47 lakh crore have been approved through the SIPB so far. Nara Lokesh, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee on Job Creation, informed him that 114 of these projects have already been taken up.
Lokesh explained that 114 of these projects have already reached the grounding stage, and through them, employment opportunities can be generated on a massive scale. The Chief Minister emphasised that measures must be taken to ensure that the agreements reached with investors are not confined merely to paper but are effectively implemented.
CM Chandrababu directed officials to expedite the granting of approvals and complete the necessary land allocations for the projects associated with the MoUs signed during the Partnership Summit held in Visakhapatnam.
He further instructed them to take steps to ensure that these projects quickly reach the grounding stage and that the industries commence operations.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, Ministers Payyavula Keshav, Kandula Durgesh, T.G. Bharath, Kondapalli Srinivas, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, Gottipati Ravikumar, and senior officials attended the meeting.
