25 Men Held, Three Girls Rescued

Vijayawada: As many as 25 men were arrested, and three women were rescued by the police at Ghatavarigudem village of Nallajarla mandal in East Godavari district on Tuesday night on charges of their involvement in obscene dance and consumption of liquor.

According to Nallajarla police, a man offered a birthday party at a private farmhouse on Tuesday night. However, he provided liquor and invited the three girls for dance to entertain the guests. Based on a tip-off, the police raided the farmhouse and arrested 25 men and sent them to judicial remand and rescued the three girls.

The police booked a case and relevant provisions of the BNS and also on charges of immoral trafficking and investigation is in progress.
