KAKINADA: Eluru district collector K. Vetri Selvi on Saturday said 15,79,042 enumeration forms, accounting for 96.04 per cent of the total, have been distributed across the district as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

She said 3,30,537 forms, or nearly 20 per cent, have already been digitised. Pedavegi mandal recorded the lowest distribution at 95.42 per cent. The Collector directed officials to achieve 100 per cent distribution within the next 24 hours.
Vetri Selvi said the SIR process, which began on June 15, will continue until July 14. She instructed every Booth Level Officer (BLO) to visit each household within their polling station jurisdiction, distribute enumeration forms to voters and ensure the completed forms are digitised.
She said the objective of the SIR was to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral roll while preventing the inclusion of ineligible persons. The exercise also involves correcting entries, removing duplicate names and enrolling newly eligible voters.
The collector inspected the distribution of enumeration forms by BLOs and supervisors in Pedavegi village and directed officials to complete the exercise without delay.
She warned that disciplinary action would be initiated against SIR personnel who lag behind in the distribution of enumeration forms.
