₹20-Cr International School Works Gather Pace In Nellore

The school, being constructed on Wakf Board land in the 41st division at a cost of ₹20 crore, will feature international-standard facilities, including a swimming pool.

Minister P. Narayana and Waqf Board Chairman SK Abdul Aziz set foundation stone for the construction of Dr. Abdul Kalam International School at Parameswari Nagar in Nellore.

Nellore: Municipal administration minister P. Narayana on Sunday inspected the ongoing construction of the Dr Abdul Kalam International School at Parameswari Nagar in Nellore Rural constituency and directed officials to speed up the works while maintaining quality standards.

The school, being constructed on Wakf Board land in the 41st division at a cost of ₹20 crore, will feature international-standard facilities, including a swimming pool.
Addressing the media, Narayana said the state government, under the leadership of Nara Lokesh, was introducing major reforms to strengthen the education sector and asserted that teacher recruitment was being carried out transparently.
He said 14 government schools in Nellore were being upgraded on par with international standards with support from philanthropists and corporate organisations through CSR funds. According to him, around 15,000 poor students would benefit from free corporate-level education once the proposed schools become operational.
The minister also said underground drainage and AMRUT project works in Nellore would be completed by the end of this year.
