The preliminary answer key had been released on May 12 and objections accepted until May 14. After examining the objections, subject experts prepared the final key and results have been processed accordingly.

 Tirupati: Education minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday released the results of AP EdCET-2026, the entrance examination conducted for admission into B. Ed courses across the state. The results showed a high pass percentage of 99.30 per cent, with 19,741 candidates qualifying out of the 19,880 who appeared for the test.

Candidates can download their rank cards and detailed results from the official AP EdCET website. The schedule for counselling is expected to be announced shortly.

Dravidian University, Kuppam, conducted the examination on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) May 8 in two shifts at 90 centres covering all the 13 combined districts of the state.

Among those who qualified, 5,848 are men and 13,893 women. The qualification percentage is 99.48 for men and 99.22 among women.

Stream-wise, Mathematics recorded the highest qualification percentage at 99.86, with 5,895 candidates qualifying out of 5,903 who appeared. Physical Science recorded a pass percentage of 99.79, with 2,405 candidates qualifying out of 2,410. In Biological Science, 4,717 of the 4,750 candidates who appeared qualified, while Social Studies recorded 5,907 qualifiers out of 5,986 candidates. In English, 817 candidates qualified out of 831 who appeared, registering a pass percentage of 98.32.

Category-wise analysis showed a 100 per cent qualification rate among candidates belonging to SC-I, SC-II, SC-III and ST categories who appeared for the examination. The overall qualification percentage stood at 98.98 for OC candidates, 98.86 for BC-A, 98.96 for BC-B, 99.07 for BC-C, 98.92 for BC-D and 98.35 for BC-E candidates.

Congratulating the successful candidates, Lokesh said aspiring teachers have a crucial role in shaping future generations and contributing to society through education. He wished all the qualified candidates success in their future careers.
