150 NTR Health Varsity Staff Trained in CPR
Every Citizen a Life Saver -Your Two Hands Can Save a Life -Make in India
Vijayawada: As many as 150 staff members of the NTR University of Health Sciences underwent training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) under the joint aegis of the university and the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation (IRCF) here on Wednesday.
Health university Vice-Chancellor Dr P. Chandrasekhar emphasised the critical role of early resuscitation and said the university was committed to extending life-support training beyond healthcare professionals.
IRCF chairman Dr S.S.C. Chakra Rao underlined the need for CPR training for every citizen of the country to enable them to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
The programme was conducted under the theme ‘Every Citizen a Life Saver — Your Two Hands Can Save a Life — Make in India’, with the objective of equipping citizens and institutional staff with essential life-saving skills.
