Nellore: Prakasam district police have deployed around 1,200 personnel, including three additional SPs and six DSPs, for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Narsingolu village in Jarugumalli mandal on Friday for distribution of Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku pattadar passbooks.

District SP V. Harshavardhan Raju conducted a convoy trial run and reviewed security arrangements at the helipad, Rachabanda, Praja Vedika and other venues.

Rope parties, special teams and striking forces have also been positioned under the SP’s direct supervision.

He directed personnel to remain alert throughout the Chief Minister’s programme, regulate the movement of people and vehicles and ensure smooth traffic along the convoy route. Separate parking arrangements have been made for VIP and other vehicles.

A dedicated control room will monitor the event through drone and CCTV cameras.

Police have also been instructed to maintain security at the helipad and prevent obstruction along the Chief Minister’s convoy route.

Sector in-charges have been asked to coordinate with their teams and ensure there are no security lapses or untoward incidents.
