11 Institutions in Eluru Get AI Labs, Digital Libraries

KAKINADA: Artificial Intelligence (AI) computer labs and digital libraries have been set up at seven colleges and four high schools in Eluru district at a cost of `2.50 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding provided by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
The facilities were inaugurated on Thursday at the Government Degree College, Eluru, by Eluru district collector K. Vetri Selvi, Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar Yadav and Eluru MLA Badeti Radhakrishna (Chanti).
Speaking on the occasion, Putta Mahesh Kumar said a state-of-the-art digital library would also be established in Eluru at a cost of `2 crore to support students preparing for competitive examinations. He said the facility would help students enhance their knowledge and improve employment prospects.
The MP said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was giving priority to education and healthcare, with a focus on strengthening educational infrastructure. He noted the growing demand for AI and Machine Learning courses in the IT sector and said students with expertise in these areas would have better job opportunities. He added that the State government’s push for IT, including plans for a quantum computing centre, would generate large-scale employment for youth. He also assured support for providing additional buildings and infrastructure at the Government Degree College, Eluru.
