₹10.20 Crore Sanctioned For Tadikonda Gurukulam, GGH Development
₹10.20 crore has been sanctioned to strengthen education and healthcare infrastructure in Guntur, including a new hostel at Tadikonda Gurukulam and renovation of GGH’s old building.
A total of `10.20 crore has been sanctioned for strengthening educational and healthcare infrastructure in Guntur district, Union minister of state for rural development and communications and Guntur MP Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said on Wednesday.
Of the sanctioned amount, `5 crore will be used to construct a hostel at Tadikonda Gurukulam, while `5.20 crore will be spent on renovation and modernisation of the old building of Guntur Government General Hospital (GGH).
Dr Chandra Sekhar said the funds would strengthen basic infrastructure in the education and healthcare sectors in the district. He attributed the sanction to the coordinated efforts of the district administration, officials and elected representatives.
The new hostel at Tadikonda Gurukulam would provide better accommodation for students, while renovation of the old GGH building would improve hospital infrastructure and medical services, he said.
Dr Chandra Sekhar thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his support for the development of Guntur district and said the coalition government was committed to improving education, healthcare and infrastructure facilities.
He appreciated Guntur district collector C.M. Sai Kanth Varma for coordinating with various departments and pursuing the proposals for release of funds.
“Continued efforts are being made by the coalition government to develop education, healthcare and infrastructure facilities needed by the people of Guntur. We thank the Chief Minister for sanctioning funds for the development of Tadikonda Gurukulam and GGH,” Dr Chandra Sekhar said.
“We will continue the same coordination and work to bring more projects for the development of Guntur,” he added.
