HTC U11 EYEs launched with 6-inch 18:9 display, dual selfie camera

The key highlight of the HTC U11 is its biggest battery and dual-camera setup on the front panel that will be a treat for selfie fanatics.

HTC has launched a new smartphone — HTC U11 EYEs in Taiwan and China, priced at CNY 3,299 (approximately Rs 32,500). The key highlight of the HTC U11 is its biggest battery. The smartphone has dual-camera setup on the front panel and will be a treat for selfie fanatics, which might be the selling point for the HTC U11 EYEs.

The HTC U11 EYEs runs HTC Sense based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The handset sports a 6-inch display with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels, Gorilla Glass 3 protection and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset clubbed with 4GB of RAM.

On the photography front, the U11 EYEs Sports a 12-UltraPixel rear sensor with PDAF, OIS, f/1.7 aperture and dual-tone dual-LED flash. On the front is a dual camera setup that sports two 5MP sensors, with HDR enhancement and a f/2.2 aperture.

The handset comes with 64GB of storage which is expandable up to 2TB. The smartphone also has HTC USonic audio technology with active noise reduction. The mid-range smartphone comes in three colour variants — Black, Silver, and Red.

On the connectivity front, the U11 EYEs comes with a Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C port and NFC. It is IP67 certified for dust and water resistance. The smartphone draws power from 3930mAh battery and weighs about 185 grams.
