Karimnagar: Gandra Nalini, who had parted ways with the TD three weeks ago to join the TRS, on Tuesday said that the Telugu Desam has no future in Telangana. Defending her decision to leave the TD, Ms Nalini accused TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu of not doing justice to her in spite of her serving the party for over 30 years.

Speaking to this newspaper, Ms Nalini said that she had shifted her loyalty to the ruling party in TS in presence of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in Hyderabad on Monday.

Ms Nalini, wife of late TD leader Gandra Venkateshwar Rao, said, “Results of the Warangal bypoll indicated that the people had rejected the party (TD). There is no future for the party. It is now irrelevant in TS. There is no leadership. If I want to stay in active politics, I should go with people’s verdict.”

“After Naidu became the CM of AP, there is a dearth of leadership (in TS). There is vacuum.  I have noticed massive communication gap within the party. The cadre is very confused. We don’t know who to lodge our complaints to: L. Ramana or A. Revanth Reddy or Errabelli Dayakar Rao. We never know who is leading the party,” she said.
