TIRUPATI: Anna Lezhneva, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, arrived in Tirumala on Sunday evening to fulfil a religious vow. She is scheduled to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Monday morning, offering prayers for the safety of her son, Mark Shankar Pawanovich, who recently had a close call in a fire accident in Singapore.
On Saturday, Pawan Kalyan returned to India with his wife and son. The family had been in Singapore after the accident occurred, while Mark Shankar was safely discharged from the hospital. On April 11, Pawan Kalyan’s brother, actor K. Chiranjeevi, issued a statement confirming Mark’s recovery. He said that Mark was now recovering at home.
With his son’s recovery, Pawan Kalyan is expected to join his family at Tirumala on Monday to offer his prayers and have darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Anna Lezhneva, a Russian citizen, is expected to give a faith declaration ahead of her visit to the hill temple. As per the rules of the temple, non-Hindus and foreigners will have to give a faith declaration to enter the religious place.
