New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to preside over a key cabinet meeting on May 21, triggering speculation about a possible expansion and reshuffle of the Modi 3.0 Cabinet.
Sources said the cabinet meeting will mainly focus on the progress of crucial government schemes and programmes, besides assessing the performance of Union ministries and departments concerned.
They said that a Cabinet expansion and reshuffle is likely to be carried out during the second week of June. This follows after the BJP thumping victory in the recently held Assembly elections in West Bengal and Assam, along with the NDA’s return to power in Puducherry.
