‘Remarks’ against CM Revanth: KTR files quash petition

Rama Rao had also claimed that Reddy would join the BJP after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The police furnished the chargesheet before the court of additional chief judicial magistrate in Nampally at the trial stage.

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao filed a petition before the Telangana High Court seeking quashing of criminal proceedings against him pertaining to the alleged objectionable comments against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy while campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections last year.

Banjara Hills police registered an FIR against Rama Rao on a complaint lodged by TPCC member B. Srinivasa Rao, who alleged that Rama Rao had made objectionable statements at Telangana Bhavan that Revanth Reddy had extorted ₹2,500 crore from the public, including builders and businessmen, and handing it over to the Congress high command.

Rama Rao had also claimed that Reddy would join the BJP after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The police furnished the chargesheet before the court of additional chief judicial magistrate in Nampally at the trial stage. Hence, Rama Rao’s quash petition.
