Madras Medical Mission opens new cardiac care centre
MMM's high-tech cardiac centre in Chennai features state-of-the-art imaging and catheterization for heart treatments
Chennai: The Madras Medical Mission (MMM) in Chennai opened a new cardiac care Centre, the CASCADE (Centre for Advanced Structural, Endovascular and Congenital Adult Heart Defects), featuring a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory to enhance the treatment of complex heart conditions with cutting-edge technology.
Inaugurated by John K. John, Chairman, Johnson Lifts Private Ltd, in the presence of Dr. K. Jacob, Honorary Secretary – MMM, on Friday the CASCADE boasts of a plethora of facilities like Larger Image Sensor Field that allows for precise structural interventions like valve implantation and aortic aneurysm repairs.
Other facilities include tru-fusion Imaging that combines 3D and intracardiac echocardiography with fluoroscopy for complex heart procedures, CT and MRI Integration ensuring accurate placement of devices within the heart and cone-beam CT providing 3D imaging for high-accuracy interventions.
