Tech glitch grounds CCI purchase of cotton

Adilabad: Technical glitches have grounded the commercial operations of cotton at the Asifabad market yard with the market committee staff being unable to register Aadhar card numbers of farmers who wanted to sell their produce to CCI.
Farmers who brought their cotton in vehicles were waiting for the operation to start.Work was affected at Adilaabd and Chennur market yards as well. Adilabad collector Rajarshi Shah spoke to the private company which has provided the software to the CCI to fix the problems.

The delay in purchase of cotton by the CCI caused losses to farmers who can't take back the produce. Long queues of vehicles loaded with cotton were stranded on the roads leading to the market yard in Adilabad market yard.
