Woman Constable Abducts Husband Over Affair Suspicion

Anantapur:A wife, who was a police constable, reportedly abducted her husband suspecting him of having an extra marital affair in Kadiri of Satya Sai district.

The incident came to light on Wednesday when parents of the husband complained to Kadiri police.

Police sources said Manjula works as a constable at Tiruchanur police station in Tirupati district, while her husband M. Praveen is a pointsman at Kalasamudram in Kadiri mandal of Satya Sai district.

The two got married five years while working at different places. This led to frequent quarrels between them. Manjula resides at Tirupati while Praveen stays along with his parents at the NGO colony in Kadiri town. As time passed by, Manjula started suspecting that her husband is having an extra marital affair.

On Tuesday evening, Manjula reportedly came along with 15 persons to Praveen’s residence in NGO Colony and abducted Praveen as well as the maid working there. She and aides attacked the parents of Praveen when they resisted the kidnap.

Praveen’s mother Venkataramanamma lodged a complaint with Kadiri Town police about the abduction of her son and the house maid.

Kadiri police have registered a case based on the complaint of the mother and are investigating.
