Software Employee Stabbed To Death

Hyderabad: Sai Karthik, 35, a software employee, was allegedly stabbed to death by one Siddharth Reddy, a native of Andhra Pradesh, in Budvel, police said on Friday. Siddharth Reddy later surrendered before the police, Rajendranagar inspector K. Kastro said.

Karthik had reportedly borrowed Rs 8 lakh from Siddharth. A few months later, when Siddharth Reddy asked for the money, Karthik was reportedly dismissive. The matter came up again when they met over drinks on Thursday. Siddharth Reddy then fatally attacked Karthik.

Police registered a case, shifted Karthik’s body to the Osmania mortuary for postmortem examination and began investigations.

Woman says she was drugged, raped

Hyderabad: A 32-year-old woman lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police on Friday, alleging a man had drugged and raped her, and blackmailed with a video recording of the act, on Friday. West Zone DCP S.M. Vijay Kumar said the victim met the suspect, Mahendra Vardhan, through a social media application and became friends.

The victim alleged that the accused invited her for lunch, took her to multiple locations, and later took her to a hotel room, where he allegedly spiked her drink. As she fell unconscious, he allegedly sexually assaulted her and filmed the act.

After some time, the suspect showed her the video and blackmailed her for `20 lakh, to keep the video secret. After the survivor paid the amount, Vardhan allegedly demanded `1 crore. She then approached the police.

A case was registered and efforts are underway to nab Vardhan. The victim was subject to a medical examination and sent to a Bharosa centre for further counselling.

25-Year-Old Cab Driver Stabbed to Death Over Personal Enmity

Hyderabad:A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death after an argument in Suraram, late on Thursday night. Suraram inspector Bharath Kumar said the victim was Syed Danish, a cab driver. The suspects have been identified as Mohd Bilal and Aslam. Bilal and Danish’s mother had issues, police said.

Danish confronted Bilal about it several times. This resulted in Bilal hatching a plan to murder Danish, He orchestrated it with the help of a friend, Aslam, police said.

Bilal called Danish to a secluded place to resolve the issue. When Danish arrived, Bilal and Aslam allegedly stabbed him at multiple places. When locals found Danish’s body in the morning, they informed the police and the family about it, who registered a case.

Danish’s body was sent to the mortuary for postmortem examination. Bilal and Aslam were arrested, however it needs official confirmation. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
