Bhubaneswar: The younger brother of a popular biker and travel vlogger was found dead on Sunday morning near the railway tracks close to Palaspalli, adjacent to Bhubaneswar’s Lingaraj railway station.

The deceased, identified as Sandesh Kumar Das, was the younger brother of content creator Sandeep Kumar Das. Sandesh, who hailed from Dhenkanal district, was working as a delivery executive for a leading food aggregator while living in a rented house in Bhubaneswar’s Satyanagar locality with his brother and friends.

The local police said his motorcycle was discovered abandoned near the tracks, while his body lay on the railway line—suggesting he may have died by suicide. Eyewitnesses claimed that shortly before the incident, Sandesh was overheard speaking loudly on his phone, indicating a heated conversation.

A police team reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem. His mobile phone and call records are being examined to establish who he spoke with in his final moments. Forensic experts have also been called in for further investigation.

While initial findings point towards suicide, officials said they are probing all possible angles, including personal and family issues.

One of Sandesh’s roommates said he appeared visibly depressed on Saturday afternoon. “Though I asked him about it, he didn’t share the reason. Later in the evening, we played an online game for some hours, after which he went out for his delivery work,” the friend told reporters.

His elder brother, Sandeep, said financial stress may have weighed heavily on him. “He was always worried about our poor financial condition, though we somehow managed. I always advised him not to take things to heart. I cannot understand why he took such an extreme step,” he said.
