Skeletal Remains of Woman Found In Thimmapally Forest
Hyderabad: The Keesara police have launched an investigation after a local worker discovered the skeletal remains of an unidentified person in the Thimmaipally forest on Friday morning.
Sources told Deccan Chronicle that a skull and hand bones were found at the scene, while the rest of the skeletal remains are missing. A sweater and a rug, typically used by people from North India, were recovered from the spot. "Approximately three feet of hair was traced near the skull, leading investigators to suspect that the deceased may be a woman," an official stated.
Preliminary assessments suggest the body was dumped in the isolated spot near a quarry, approximately three to four months ago, given its highly decomposed state. Keesara police are scanning missing person reports from Keesara, Shamirpet, Jawaharnagar, Ghatkesar, and neighbouring police stations.
The source added, "Since the remains consist only of a skull and hand bones, a post-mortem examination is not possible at this stage. The remains will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for an examination to determine the presence of blunt force trauma, concussions, or other fatal injuries."
