Financial Aid for Toilets, Soak Pits in Andhra Pradesh
Minister Dola Veeranjaneya Swamy announced financial aid for toilets and septic tanks to improve sanitation and groundwater recharge

Kurnool: Social welfare minister Dola Veeranjaneya Swamy stated that the government is providing financial assistance for constructing individual toilets and septic tanks. He emphasised that diverting household wastewater into septic tanks instead of roads and side canals would help recharge groundwater levels. The minister participated in a programme in Jarlapalem village of Prakasam district on Saturday, alongside district collector A. Thameem Ansaria.
Highlighting the importance of cleanliness in preventing diseases, the minister announced plans to construct 15,000 soak pits in Prakasam district, with 150 already under construction in Jarlapalem village. He added that the state government is collecting waste in urban areas to generate electricity and wealth. He directed officials to implement necessary plans for waste management.
Panyam MLA Gowru Charita Reddy urged citizens to prioritise environmental cleanliness. She attended a sanitation programme at the Zilla Parishad High School in Ward 20, where she highlighted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s initiative to hold cleanliness drives on the third Saturday of every month, aiming to make Andhra Pradesh the cleanest state in the country.
Meanwhile, District Collector P. Ranjit Basha visited the Waste to Wealth Centre in Gonegandla. He explained that the centre functions effectively when wet and dry waste is properly segregated. He recommended using wet waste for vermicomposting and recycling dry waste as a source of income.

Free Udyam registration centre inaugurated in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Shivanath reaffirmed his commitment to industrial growth and educational development through various engagements across the city.
Speaking at the Andhra Pradesh MSME Industries Association Facilitation Centre, he inaugurated a free Udyam Registration Centre, in line with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's vision of fostering entrepreneurship in every family. During his visit, the MP interacted with members of the Manufacturing Association and JRD Aila Service Society, focusing on the automobile sector's expansion.
"Let’s set politics aside and work towards developing all sectors," he stated during discussions with automobile industry professionals. He sought their suggestions on upgrading the sector and enhancing youth employment opportunities.
The MP also revealed plans to establish a Sports City Cluster, Leather Cluster, and Defence Cluster in the Amaravati region, marking significant infrastructure development.
Later in the day, he led an election campaign at KBN College in support of Krishna-Guntur districts' graduate MLC candidate Alapati Rajendra Prasad. Addressing teachers at the event, he urged them to support the NDA alliance candidate, acknowledging their role in raising awareness against the previous government’s policies.
