2 Held In Sofa Maker Murder At Asifnagar

Hyderabad:The Asifnagar police on Tuesday arrested two men in connection with the murder of sofa maker Mohammed Qaboola alias Addu, 28, who was killed in New Kishan Nagar on Sunday night. The accused—Mohd Waseem alias Yaba, 27, and his friend Sameer Khan alias Junaid, 25, both from Kishan Nagar in Jhirra—were known to the victim.

According to DCP (south west zone) G. Chandra Mohan, the duo had previous enmity with Qaboola and decided to kill him.

They met at Nammak Kharkhana and consumed liquor on Sunday. They later made a call to Qaboola to discuss an issue. When he refused, they set out on a bike in search of him. Around 9.45 pm, they found him with friends in a narrow lane at New Kishan Nagar. An argument broke out, and in a fit of rage, Junaid stabbed Qaboola. As his friends fled the scene, Yaba struck Qaboola’s head with a boulder and killed him.

Based on information, police later arrested both accused and recovered a knife, mobile phone and motorbike. Yaba was previously booked in an attempt to murder case under Asifnagar police station limits.
