Hyderabad:Two members of a six-member gang from Bihar, involved in the August 11 firing and robbery at Khazana Jewellery in Chandanagar, have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody, sources said.

Police said all six accused had a history of similar offences in Bihar and also faced a case in West Bengal. They arrived in Hyderabad 10 days before the crime, renting a flat in Jagadgirigutta and conducted a detailed recce before striking.

On the day of the heist, the gang entered the store, fired two shots, injured the deputy manager and fled with 10 kg of silver worth `12.5 lakh — all within 10 minutes. They first went to Medchal, then Patancheru and were later traced to Bidar in Karnataka before being caught in Pune, Maharashtra.

Senior officials said full details of the arrests will be disclosed at a press meet on Saturday.
