BHOPAL: In a new twist to the Twisha Sharma death case, a viral CCTV footage showed the Noida woman visiting a beauty parlour hours before she allegedly died by suicide in her marital home here on May 12.
The viral clip shows her relaxing at the ‘Expression Beauty Parlour’ in Bhopal while getting a scalp massage.
The date and time of the CCTV footage is seen as 12/ 05/ 2026 and 15:29:35 respectively.
Hours later, model and actor Twisha, wife of Bhopal-based advocate Samarth Singh, allegedly died by suicide by hanging from a gymnastic rope in her marital home in the Katara Hills here on May 12.
Her autopsy report suggested that she died by hanging.
Her family members however suspected foul play in the case.
In another development, Twisha’s absconding husband Samarth, an accused in the dowry death case of his wife, was on Friday evening taken to police custody when he reached the district court in Jabalpur to surrender, his lawyer said.
He had gone to the Jabalpur district court to surrender hours after he withdrew his anticipatory bail filed in the Madhya Pradesh high court on Friday.
His anticipatory bail was earlier rejected by the lower court.
In a related development, Madhya Pradesh high court on Friday granted a second autopsy under the supervision of the director of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, at the AIIMS, Bhopal, where Twisha’s body has been preserved for the last nine days.
Twisha’s family members refused to accept the body, demanding a second autopsy at the AIIMS, Delhi, while questioning police investigation into the case.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government on Friday recommended a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case.
A statement in this regard was issued by the state government here on Friday afternoon.
