SC Junks PIL Over Forged Medical Degrees

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea concerning fake and forged medical degrees and reprimanded the petitioner for routinely “piling” the court with such petitions.
A two-judge bench comprising Justice P.S. Narasimha and Justice Alok Aradhe dismissed the public interest litigation filed by advocate Narendra Kumar Goswami.
“You file one PIL per week. What kind of petitions do you draft? You have turned it into a factory. Every week, you file writ petitions. You draft them the moment you see some news. Do you file these petitions for publicity and popularity? Do not routinely pile us with petitions like these,” the court remarked.
