HYDERABAD: The BJP and the BRS have clandestine understanding and are together but level charges against each other only to hoodwink the people, alleged Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.

“BRS leaders in their 10-year rule had looted public wealth to last for 100 years. Yet, Prime Minister Narender Modi and home minister Amit Shah who charged the BRS government with unbridled corruption would not take any action against the KCR government,” Bhatti Vikramarka pointed out.

Addressing media persons at Dedinepalli as part of his padayatra that entered 76th day on Wednesday, the CLP leader said that people have clearly understood that the BJP and the BRS were one and the same and have no concern for people’s well-being.

“People from Pippiri in Adilabad to Kollapur want to put an end to the rule of the BRS which smacks of feudalism and people are seething with anger. We will win over 100 seats. As it has become evident BRS and BJP leaders are looking at us,” he said.

Emphasising on the promises of the Congress, he said the construction of all pending projects on Krishna and Godavari that were taken up during the tenure of previous Congress government, he said.

“Though the Congress completed the Kalwakurthy lift irrigation project and its distributary canals, branch canals about 10 years ago, the BRS government neglected the project without digging irrigation channels/canals. The Congress would complete the irrigation channels within one year of coming to power,” he said.

“The Congress government which completed Srisailam, Nettempadu, Nagarjunasagar and Bhima projects, would complete the Palamur-Ranga Reddy lift irrigation project and also the Lakshmidevipalli Reservoir once it comes to power,” Bhatti Vikramarka asserted. Similarly at Tummidi Hatti on Godavari, Pranahita Chevella project would be completed without delay. Water would be given to Devadula fully by completing Indira and Rajivsagar.

Bhatti Vikramarka reiterated that within one year of coming to power, the Congress would fill two lakh jobs and give Rs 4,000 dole to the unemployed. “Poor would be given an assistance of Rs 5 lakh to construct houses and house sites would be sanctioned to those without house sites. Loan waiver up to Rs 2 lakh would be implemented at one go and Rs 12,000 would be credited to the agricultural labour under Coolie Bandhu’ scheme,” he said.

Bhatti Vikramaka also said that ‘Amma Hastham’ scheme would be revived and nine essential commodities would be distributed through fair price shops and cooking gas cylinders would be supplied at Rs 500 per cylinder.

The CLP leader said that looking at the enthusiasm of people towards Congress from North Telangana to Kollapur, he was confident that the Congress Party would sweep the elections and form the next government.

He called upon people who believe in democracy not to vote for MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy who mortgaged the trust of Kollapur people at the feet of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

TPCC senior vice president Mallu Ravi said that the padayatra taken up by CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka had removed fear from people and gave them confidence and strength. The People’s March exposed the underlying discontent of people against the government and helped rally them against the BRS. In the next election, BRS would not even get 10 seats, Bhatti Vikramarka said.
