Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkata Reddy accepted the challenge thrown by Mr Rama Rao and said if the Congress doesn't come to power in the next elections, he would quit politics permanently.

Hyderabad: Congress leaders met Assembly secretary V. Narasimha Charyulu on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum asking for the implementation of the High Court judgement that revoked the expulsion from the House of two Congress legislators, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar.

They cautioned that if the judgment was not implemented, the Assembly secretary would be liable under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act. 

Telangana Congress working committee president and MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, CLP deputy leader and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy along with Mr Sampath Kumar, one of the expelled legislators, met the Assembly secretary.

Speaking to mediapersons later, Mr Vikramarka said the Assembly website had not been updated more than a month after the judgement was delivered.
