DMK MLAs plea for expediting pending works

KANCHEEPURAM: Opposition DMK MLAs of Kancheepuram district  on Monday thronged the Kancheepuram collectorate, insisting that Collector R. Gajalakshmi discuss  monsoon preventive measures with them. The Collector who was caught unawares, gave permission to discuss public issues.

 

The legislators also submitted petitions that demanded early completion of pending bridge works and causeways at Anakaputhur and Pammal. “The party high command has instructed MLAs of Kancheepuram and Chennai to be more active in their constituencies as both the districts have helped DMK to garner maximum seats in greater Chennai,” said a DMK MLA.

Former minister and Alandur MLA T. M. Anbarasan said that a draft of pending works in the district had been submitted to the Collector seeking early completion.
