HYDERABAD: Voting began across Telangana on Thursday morning peacefully with people beginning to queue up early in the morning in most of the polling booths in all the 119 constituencies.

He called on youth and first time voters to exercise their voting rights and information about where their polling booth is can be found on the ECI app. “We hope that this time the voting percentage will increase,” he said.

One report of some altercation between BRS and Congress workers was reported from Khanapur in Ibrahimpatnam constituency with the police on the spot quickly bringing the situation under control by caning the protestors from both sides.

Among those who went early to vote were several movie starts in Hyderabad, as well as several politicians. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is expected to cast his vote in his native village of Chintamadaka.
