Hyderabad: “People will be happy if K. Chandrasekhar Rao takes rest in his farmhouse,” said Congress president Rahul Gandhi, as he wound up his two-day campaign in the state.

“The Khao Commission Rao has taken commission from all the projects. Changing the name of Pranahitha Chevella project as Kaleshwaram has cost around Rs 40,000 crore. The illegal grabbing of land is high in the state and the Congress government will get back the grabbed land,” Mr Rahul Gandhi said.

The Congress president, who had termed the TRS as Telangana Rashtriya Sanghparivar on Wednesday, called the party Telangana RSS on Thursday.
The Congress chief also lashed out at the TRS government for not fulfilling its promises.

“The assets of KTR increased by about 400 per cent and the debts of the state went up by Rs 2.2 lakh crore. The TRS had promised lands for SCs and STs along with double bedroom houses for the poor. The Congress government will do all the things for the poor as promised,” Mr Gandhi said.

He said the Congress government would hike pensions to Rs 2,000, provide health insurance of Rs 5 lakh, unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 for the youth.

“Mr Rao didn’t care for farmer suicides nor did he provide MSP for crops. The Congress will waive Rs 2 lakh farm loans and give Minimum Support Price for the crops.”
