Mahbubnagar police ban drone flying in view of PM's visit

Hyderabad: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Mahbubnagar on October 1, the local police issued prohibitory orders on Friday.

Mahabubnagar Superintendent of police K Narasimha said the police had taken security measures including banning the flying of drones, balloons, and bursting of firecrackers. Police said that they would not allow any kind of rally, dharna, rasta roko, hunger strike or protest.

Narasimha said that legal action would be taken against those who violate the prohibition. Police have also set up special checkpoints and are checking vehicles and frisking people.

BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna reviewed the arrangements for Modi’s public meeting after visiting the venue. “BJP activists want to welcome Modi. I urge everyone to participate in large numbers and make this public meeting a huge success," Aruna said.
