Uttam accuses BRS govt of betraying jobless youth, students

 Hyderabad: Congress MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of betraying students by failing to clear fee reimbursement and scholarship dues which he said were at Rs 4,592. He alleged that thousands of students had dropped out of colleges because they were unable to pay the fee.

The government's inability to provide jobs or create opportunities in the private sector had left over 40 lakh youth unemployed. He pointed out that Rao had failed to implement his promise of giving unemployment allowance of Rs 3,016.

He was addressing a Youth Congress and NSUI convention at Kodad on Monday. Kodad former and his wife Padmavathi Reddy, TS Youth Congress president Shiv Sena Reddy, NSUI state president Balmoori Venkat addressed the convention. Earlier, Uttam Kumar Reddy led a bike rally with Congress activists.
