HYDERABAD: Curiously, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is facing non-cooperation from a few senior leaders even for an important event like the upcoming visit of party leader Rahul Gandhi to Telangana.

The state party is aiming to mobilise around 5 lakh people for Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting at Arts College grounds in Warangal on May 6.

The TPCC president has completed a tour of undivided Karimnagar and Khammam districts to make arrangements for the Rythu Sangharshana Sabha meeting to be addressed by Rahul Gandhi in Warangal. Undivided Karimnagar, Khammam and Nalgonda districts are adjacent to Warangal.

Reportedly, former PCC president and Nalgonda MP Uttam Kumar and Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat did not show any interest in helping the PCC chief hold preparatory meetings for the big event.

Uttam conducted a virtual meeting with Congress party leaders and activists of Nalgonda parliamentary constituency on Wednesday to review the arrangements for the Warangal meeting.

He said a vehicle rally will begin from his residence in Huzurnagar on May 6 for the Warangal meeting. Surprisingly, Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat was quick to make clear he will not participate in the preparatory meeting.

Instead, he suggested the TPCC chief to concentrate attention on districts other than undivided Nalgonda.
