MK Stalin to attend Uddhav Thackeray’s swearing-in ceremony

Chennai: DMK president MK Stalin is leaving for Mumbai on Thursday to take part in swearing in ceremony of  Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as Maharashtra Chief Minister.  On behalf of the CM designate, the party had sent the invitation to DMK chief, sources said.

Meanwhile, Stalin greeted Thackeray and Sharad Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party for forming government after crossing several hurdles. On behalf of the party Stalin spoke to them over phone on Wednesday and congratulated them.

Greeting Thackeray Stalin said “it is happy to note that leader from a regional party becoming a CM”. He said “you won after facing challenges”. Stalin also hoped Thackeray will strengthen the relations between Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

 Similarly, while speaking to Sharad Pawar,  Stalin said “you acted as an important force in uniting Opposition parties. This unity shall continue for effective functioning of democracy, Constitution, laws of the land and country in the future. Stalin said “it is happy to note the you played a key role in formation of stable government in the state.”
