Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday announced sops of Rs 1,400 crore for development of Srikakulam district.

Jagan announced an additional Rs 10 crore for repair of the demolished Kodi Rammurthy stadium.

Among other grants, Rs 69 crore was sanctioned for completion of the integrated collectorate complex, Rs 18 crore for expansion of the Srikakulam-Amadalavalasa road and Rs 40 crore sanctioned for this road project.

This apart, Rs 189 crore was sanctioned for the lift irrigation project at Gotta barrage on Vamsadhara river, about Rs 850 crore for the Mahendra Tanaya project and an additional Rs 300 crore for the Uddanam drinking water pipeline project. The government already allocated Rs 700 crore and now an additional Rs 300 crore.

Former Union minister Killi Kriparani felt humiliated when her name was not on the protocol list. Security did not allow her to approach the helipad as she reached the guest house of the Roads and Buildings to welcome the CM. Considering this as an insult, she got into an argument with YSRC leaders.
